This chapter recounts the origins of the character Jimi Fox, created by Program Director Michael Cantoni at KBIM Roswell, New Mexico, who chose the name based on a random album. Jimi Fox, with his extensive background and training from notable industry mentors, became Program Director, as well as a versatile and integral figure at Ten-Ǫ, taking on various roles and responsibilities, including creating and managing the station’s innovative floating format.
